By Monday mid-day Asia time (which is Sunday in the USA), the Mike's Blog team will add the coming week's update board.

  • Reflections: Insights and learnings from the previous week's activities
  • Discoveries: New findings, interesting developments, and "aha" moments from the week before

Step 1: Find the Latest Now Content

Check the latest weekly update draft:

  • Visit MikesBlog.com/now for the current published version
  • As a company user, access Mike's draft for the upcoming week
  • Example Draft: https://mikesblogdesign.com/now20250824/
  • Review all sections: reflections, discoveries, and upcoming focus areas
Pro Tip: Look for items that would benefit from community feedback and prioritization
Step 2: Create Board & Add Week's Content
Access Board Creation:
  • Go to Dashboard (you must be logged in with Company role)
  • Look for "Add Board" button on the top right
  • Click to open the board creation form
Required Fields:
Field 1: Title

Format: Up To Now - Month Week_Start_Date - Week_End_Date, Year

Example: "Up To Now - August 17 - 23, 2025"
Note: Week starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday
Field 2: Blog Post URL

Format: https://mikesblog.com/nowYYYYMMDD

Example: https://mikesblog.com/now20250817
Note: Use the Sunday start date of the week (YYYYMMDD format)
Field 3: Add Prize(s)

Coordinate with Mike and the team on prize details:

  • Prize Description: Typically "$25 USD Amazon Gift Card"
  • Number of Prizes: Usually 2 winners per weekly board
  • Prize Deadline: Friday 12:00 PM GMT+7 (Thailand time)
Standard Deadline: We have agreed to have prize deadlines at noon on Fridays GMT+7
Field 4: Cards (The Main Content)

This is the "meat" of the board - what community members engage with.

What is a Card? Refer to detailed card explanation
Card Selection Criteria:
  • Actionable Items: Choose items that are appropriate for upvoting/downvoting/commenting
  • Personal & Business: Include both personal reflections and business decisions
  • Community Relevance: Items the community should engage with and help prioritize
  • Clear Topics: Each card should represent one specific focus area
Goal: Help Mike understand which weekly focuses are most treasured by the community
Step 3: Submit and Get Word Out
Quality Control:
  • Submit the Board: Click create/publish when all fields are complete
  • Team QC: Have another team member spot-check the board
  • Link Testing: Verify all links work properly
  • Blog Status: Ensure the blog post has been deployed and published
Promotion & Engagement:
  • Email Newsletter: Include in weekly newsletter
  • Social Media: Share on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Personal Network: Notify friends and close community
  • Direct Outreach: Message active community members
